About us
Breaking Down Barriers in Sports
For many intellectually disabled and disadvantaged youth aged 13 to 24, access to sports and outdoor activities is severely limited. This exclusion stems from structural barriers, a lack of accessible opportunities, and a shortage of educators trained in inclusive practices. The consequences are profound: limited physical activity, reduced social interaction, and lower self-esteem. While the benefits of inclusive sports—such as enhanced physical health, psychosocial well-being, and community integration—are well documented, access remains uneven across Europe. GreenFit emerges directly from this context, aiming to bridge these gaps and create a society where sports are truly for everyone.
Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To promote equal participation in outdoor sports for intellectually disabled and disadvantaged youth by equipping educators, trainers, and volunteers with free, scalable digital tools and comprehensive training. We strive to transform schools, sports clubs, and community settings into sustainable, inclusive environments.
Our Vision
A future where every young person, regardless of their background or abilities, has the opportunity to thrive, connect, and build self-esteem through the power of nature and sports, reflecting the core European values of equality, diversity, and solidarity.
Green, Digital, and Inclusive
GreenFit stands out by combining social inclusion with environmental sustainability and digital innovation. By moving away from traditional indoor gyms, we emphasize nature-based sports that require minimal equipment, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
