GreenFit Kick-Off Meeting Held in Konya

The Kick-Off Meeting of the GreenFit – Outdoor Sports for Inclusion and Green Practices project was successfully held in Konya, Türkiye, on 8–9 April 2026.

The meeting brought together the project partners to officially launch the implementation process, review the activities carried out so far, and plan the next stages of the project.

During the two-day meeting, partners discussed the overall project structure, work packages, expected results, responsibilities and implementation timeline. The consortium also reviewed the progress made since the start of the project and exchanged information on the activities already completed by each partner.

A major focus of the meeting was the planning of upcoming activities. Partners discussed the collection of good practices, development of the inclusive outdoor sport programme, preparation of training and digital resources, capacity-building activities, inclusive sport events and dissemination actions.

The meeting also provided an important opportunity to clarify roles, strengthen coordination among the partner organisations and ensure a common understanding of the project’s objectives and expected outcomes.

GreenFit aims to promote inclusive outdoor sports, physical activity and environmentally responsible practices, with a particular focus on young people with intellectual disabilities and/or disadvantaged backgrounds. Through international cooperation, the project will develop practical resources and activities for teachers, trainers, coaches, youth workers, volunteers and community organisations.

The Kick-Off Meeting in Konya marked an important first step in building a strong and coordinated partnership and laid the foundation for the successful implementation of the GreenFit project.

The partners will continue working together in the coming months to develop inclusive, practical and transferable approaches that combine sport, social inclusion and green practices.
